SWEET PSYCHOSIS is an edgy & slightly psychotic alternative rock band based in San Francisco, California. The 5-member group consists of Tommy Wood (rhythm guitar), Maury Zeller (lead vocals), Jimi Leonard (drums & percussion), Dave Sawley (bass), and Marc Laspina (lead guitar). Having met in detox, the boys have varied backgrounds from such areas as arms dealing, racketeering, prostitution, drug smuggling, and vigilantism.
Their music is a hard-hitting, nail-biting, mind-bending wall of sound that packs major California venues and renders its audiences into sweating, dancing masses with an almost tribal fervor. Their thoroughly original tunes are reminiscent of Jane's Addiction, Guns N' Roses and Red Hot Chili Peppers, but with a brand new SWEET PSYCHOSIS slant.
