JOHN CLOUD was born in San Jose, California in 1977. As soon as he could hold a pencil, he started drawing and painting. By the time he was thirteen, he had already self-published his first comic book and was a successful muralist in his local community. He has also worked on several national ad campaigns, including Kraft foods. From t-shirt designs used for many of the "Ultimate Fighting Championships" and sold on "Pay-Per-View", design work and comic books sold nationally and internationally, John Cloud produces quality work.

Now he is focused on his fine art. Cloud has several styles including: surrealism, realism, abstract expressionism, and minimalism. But he is best known for his unique spin on the traditional style of Calaveras art, also known as "Day of the Dead." He uses a vibrant color pallet, and a Picasso-esc style, to bring the traditional style of his heritage, new life. His style has made such a splash in the art community that the city of Red Wood City recently commissioned him to paint a mural for their city hall. Cloud draws from his cultural heritage of Mexican, Italian, Native American (Choctaw), and Irish, and interjects them into every one of his paintings, so that hopefully he not only shares his art with the world, but his culture as well.
